Once Upon a One is taking pre-orders for first-birthday parties on or after November 15, 2026. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and what we do with it. Questions? Email hello@scribblescrollsbooks.com.

Pre-orders

Checkout happens on Shopify, which processes your payment and gives us your name, email, shipping address, and what you ordered. We don't see or store your full card number. You enter your baby's first name and party date when you pre-order, and we use these details only to make and deliver your book (and party kit, if you add one).

The email list

When you join our email list, we collect your email address, your first name, whether you're a parent or grandparent, and (if you choose to share it) the month of your baby's first birthday. We use this only to email you about Once Upon a One, for example when new offers open, and to understand who's interested. We don't sell it. We use an email service provider to store the list and send those emails. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing us.

The Meta Pixel

This site uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It tells Meta that you visited the page and whether you joined our email list or started a pre-order checkout, so we can measure our ads and show them to people who might be interested. Meta may use cookies and receive information like your browser, device, and IP address under its own privacy policy. You can control ad personalization in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, and you can block cookies or trackers in your browser.

Guest photos and voices

We're finishing the guest upload tool now, ahead of the first November 15 parties. When it opens, the photos, voice messages, and letters your guests add will be private to your family. They won't be public or searchable, and they will be used to make your book. We'll publish a fuller policy covering photos and voices, including how long we keep them and how you can download or delete them, before we accept any uploads.

Children

This site, our email list, and pre-orders are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
